This cute as a button, little bunny was just hanging out in the yard yesterday, having a snack when guess who came along and snapped a few pics? He was nice enough to stay there till I was finished! This is as much wildlife as you’ll find around here. Well, except for the coyote who roams the streets at night but I don’t think I’ll be getting a snap of him anytime soon.
Sort of. The European brown hare and a 8 other feral animals were brought to a farm between Brantford and Cambridge, Ontario in 1912 by a German farmer. The hares escaped and successfully colonized the lands right around Lake Ontario by the 50′s. That’s how they came to North America.
Cute and destructive little critter.
I have never understood why our neighborhood rabbits feel the middle of our front yard is a perfect place to build their nests. 🙂
Very lovely.

I recognize the species; it;s a European Hare.

If that’s the case, then it’s terribly lost! 😦

Looks like he is saying, “What, who me? I didn’t eat that baby spinach!” Love bunnies except in my garden.
